  • Promote technology in the classroom.
  • Support gifted and talented programs.
  • Give more control to local school boards.
  • Provide affordable education through a Community College system.
  • Support Higher Education as critical to economic development.
Agriculture
  • Recognize the value of agriculture to our communities, utilizing incentives that help to protect the family farm.
  • Recognize that agriculture is a fundamental and necessary industry to the economy of Idaho.
  • Utilize the resources of Higher Education to capitalize on research for agricultural development.
  • Promote markets for Idaho’s crops.
Natural Resources
  • Fight to preserve state jurisdiction over Idaho water.
  • Advocate reasonable management for the protection of resources from contamination.
  • Support the concept of forest health.
  • Emphasize multiple use, local control, and minimal government regulation.
  • Honor property rights in our efforts to restore, protect, and enhance the environment for future generations.
INL
  • Recognize that the role of the INL is critical to the defense of our nation and for the development of energy policy.
  • Support research and development missions that provide safe, economical nuclear power.
  • Enhance opportunities for the transfer of technology from the INL to private industry.
  • Support the development of alternative sources of energy.
Health Care
  • Reduce health care costs as a way to insure more Idahoans.
  • Promote policies for a healthier population.
  • Create scientific, evidence-based standards of care for every major disease and develop goals to reduce the incidence of disease.
  • Encourage greater consumer involvement in health care decisions.
  • Utililize technology in the health care industry.
